    Permissions again

    Aside from registry, COM objects, what actions ontop a desktop are actually prevented by not being an administrator??

    Interesting question. I believe all actions are not restricted, since you are the owner of the desktop as the logged in user. The only restriction if you do not have admin privileges is deleting an icon that was created for All Users by and admin.
    Another important point is this may change depending on the OS you are using. Power Users in 2000+ may have delete privileges for All Users.
