Building localized installers from the command line build on Server 2012 produces some "nonsense" strings. The fairly simple installer is set up to support English, Simplified Chinese and Japanese. When I build the installer on my development box, which is Windows 10, it works with both the full version and the command line version of IS. When its built on the build server which is Windows 2012 R2, it produces a partially correct translations. Some string display fine in the target language. But in the Japanese and Chinese versions, some strings contain what look like random characters. Seems almost like the font used is not correct however some of the strings display fine with other characters translated.
