Support of alternative compilers on Windows

the manual of FlexLM clearly states that on Windows only MS Visual C++ 2005 and above is supported.

We are considering using FlexLM, but use a tool chain based on the MingW cross compiler. Since FlexLM is a pure C library and ANSI C name mangling is compatible among different compilers (in opposite to C++) I am wondering, if one can use alternative compilers, say MingW-x64.

Did anyone of you try MingW or other compilers on Windows? Do you have any experience you might share with me?

    Thanks in advance
