    Removing custom added reg entries

    Hi,

I have a custom action script that adds a few registry entries which won't get removed via my uninstall.

Is there anyway of adding these to the MSI database so they get uninstalled with the rest of my package?

    Cheers
    Steve

At uninstallation, Windows Installer does not automatically remove registry entries created by a custom action. Custom action will be needed to remove those registry entries at uninstallation. Alternatively, RemoveRegistry table can be used.

    Thanks for the reply

So if I add entries to the RemoveRegistry table they will be removed on the uninstall only?

    Thanks mate

My bad, it does not. RemoveRegistry table is used to delete a registry entry when the associated component is installed.
