Thread: Wizard panel text formatting ??

    Question Wizard panel text formatting ??

    Does anyone know a possibility to have some simple text formattings when displaying text in a user input panel?
    (UserInputPanel->StandardProperties->Description)

    Not even newlines are maintained :-(
    Is there a way to insert a line break in a somewhat lengthy text? Maybe escape the \n character ?

    Super cool would be if one could enter HTML tags in the text. But some simple newlines would suffice.

    Somebody has some suggestions?

    Regards

    I had a similar problem with the setup types description. I had a long description, about two lines, but it only showed the first line. I found that if you go into the actual xml file and actually put the part you want on the next line on the next line in the xml it will work.

    For example:

    <property name="description">This is my really long description. This is the part that should be on the next line</property>
    <property name="displayName">Product</property>
    <property array="True" length="4" name="features" type="string">
    <arrayItem>Feature One</arrayItem>
    <arrayItem>Feature Two</arrayItem>
    <arrayItem>Feature Three</arrayItem>
    <arrayItem>Feature Four</arrayItem>
    </property>

    Change it to:

    <property name="description">This is my really long description.
    This is the part that should be on the next line</property>
    <property name="displayName">Product</property>
    <property array="True" length="4" name="features" type="string">
    <arrayItem>Feature One</arrayItem>
    <arrayItem>Feature Two</arrayItem>
    <arrayItem>Feature Three</arrayItem>
    <arrayItem>Feature Four</arrayItem>
    </property>

    Hope that helps.

    Awfully the xml solution doesn't work with localized strings. Perhaps if you split them one for a line... but when you are saving your project the newlines are gone.

    For a UserInputPanel it is possible to use several labels with spacing 0...
