View Full Version : install component to d: drive

In addition to the main program folder in C:\program files I need to put two other folders on the d: drive of my target system to keep user data in case we need to wipe out C:

These are systems we control so I know there's a C: and D: drive and no other. Can someone point me in the right direction of how to get those folders created on D?

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but I've researched the site and haven't found the answer. Thanks for any help.

Try this,
1. Make a folder under Destination Computer (Files view), with a name in capital letters, e.g. D_DRIVE
2. Put D_DRIVE in the MSI Property table.
3. Set the D_DRIVE property to the location on d: (MsiSetProperty())
