Hi there.

I have 4 services which are installed by my wizard. I have entered the following in the Dependencies field for my NT service

DB2 - DB2, DB2 OLAP Server

Indicating that my services are dependent on these 2 services.

When I attempt to start my services, the following error occurs:

"Could not start the cia provemr service on Local Computer

Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion."

What does this mean??

How do I include dependencies with my services?

Hey there,

you need to use the service's name and not display name in order to create a dependency. I assume that the services your service depends on are installed on the target machine, so the above solution should do for you.

Good Luck :)

If you just installed those services at Install time, then I don't think they are in the registery until a reboot is completed. And if you are trying to start them at Install time as well, then I think you will have these problems that you mention. Try turning off the option to "Install Start" on 'Control NT Services' and if you have the service setup as automatic it should be running after the reboot.
