I've got an install that just copies files into the targetdir, and one (custom) ocx into the system folder that no one else would be using. Why is my install requesting a reboot when it finishes?

Thanks!

You will also need a reboot if you upgrade the windows installer version (but this is because the dll files are locked).

I think service depedancies also need a reboot when they are changed, and some paths that are statically loaded for dlls need a reboot to get the full system path in their environment.
