In several projects which I work with, a release flag is used to exclude features from cetain releases. Usually, the files for the excluded features will not even be present when the installer is built. Recently, after upgrading to Developer 7.04, a new component and an associated feature was added. For the new component, but not for previously existing components, Developer reports an error message "Error: -6103: Could not find file ..." when the component's Feature is excluded from the build via a release flag and the component's files haven't been compiled. The error messsage does not prevent the installer from building the project.

Is there anything that I can do to presuade Developer v7.04 either to treat the new feature and component like similar previously exisiting ones or at least to suppess the -6103 error message in this particular circumstance?

Yep, I've noticed this too under 7.04, just so you know you aren't crazy.

No solution yet.
