View Full Version : Invalid Drive

We are trying to put the final touches on the package we are trying to build. However the issue we have is the Desktop and My Pictures are pathed in the registry to point to the users personal network share. Our tech team has created a account to use to install software with that does not have this share, so when we logon with this account and try to install the package, right after the CostFinization or during it, while it is trying to reslove the paths, we get a Invalid Drive error. We have created custom actions to point to these folder to the local hard drive to all the shortcuts and files get copied to the correct places. The issue remains the same, if this drive is not mapped, we get the error and the install failes.

Is there anyway around this, or does every NT account have to have this drive mapped?

You could simply remove the entry from the directory-table (via direct editor). This will rule out this problem.
