Is it possible to link a flash movie into demoshield as a .swf or quicktime .mov?

I am able to do this as an .avi but the file size is too large for mobility.

Thanks, Max

You can stream an .swf file through DemoShield using the Streaming Media Object. You will need to stream the file through Real Player, and then user will need to have Real Player installed on thier machine.

You can also play .mov files in DemoShield, but the user will need to have QuickTime installed on thier machine.

We have a Knowledge Base article on streaming flash files. It is article Q105839 (http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?articleid=Q105839) , HOWTO: Streaming a Flash Animation Through Your Demo.

However, we have just recently found a bug with streaming flash files through DemoShield. The new version of Real Player, called RealOne Player, will not stream files correctly through DemoShield. We do have a current work order opened with the development team and they are working on a fix for a future release. So, if the user has an earlier version of Real Player, the files will stream fine.
