It would be nice if we could extract statistics automatically. If we could extract the data every day into a private database we could do interesting things with that data.

Must usefull would be a COM module that does this for us, like now the Agent object.

I believe you are referring to the usage statistics. Right now we provide a few canned reports. However, we are open to expanding those reports or providing you a way to extract your data. We could create a report that would extract all your usage data into a .csv file. From there, you could import the data into a number of different tools for analysis.

Is this what you had in mind? You mentioned a COM module. Would you prefer a desktop tool to extract the data? We could also provide this via a WebService. Let me know your thoughts.

It does not matter how we get the data, but there are two issues:

1. A thing we always want to know is the delay between an update and that more than 50% of the users downloaded it. For us it would be very nice to have exact logs of when people started the download with time and date and the version they had. If it can be exported to any file (csv, acces, whatever) on demand (with a history of two weeks) it would be perfect.

2. If the history is less than two weeks, it should be possible to extract it automatically, otherwise manual reports are OK.

It would be very nice if we could know the amount of _succesfull_ updates. We now check the website statistics for our website and the amount of MB's are downloaded for each single-exe setupfile. This way we can estimate the amount of succesfull downloads.

The main reason for evaluating Update Service is to reduce the time between an update and users updating their products, so we really want to know IF this the case.
