View Full Version : Do VB projects need Microsoft (R) C Runtime Library??

Two questions:

I just upgraded from Express 3.0.3 to 3.53 and decided to do a fresh rebuild of my VB6 project. I used the Visual Basic Project Scan Wizard to generate the base project.

One difference I see between the old and new project is that Under Objects/Merge Modules ISE selected Microsoft (R) C Runtime Library. My old project didn't have that selected though I can't recall if I unchecked that myself or if it started out that way when I did the original Wizard under 3.03. Why would a VB6 project require the C Runtime Library?

Also, my old setup always generated a warning for Windows 2000 users (scrrun.dll). Will 3.53 fix that and if not how can I remedy this?

Thanks!

The runtime is probably reqd for another module you have included. I wouldn't worry about it.

Search other posts regarding scrrun.dll in the General newsgroup.
