Checked through the site knowledge base without success. This should be easy:

I need a chart showing the major and minor os versions so I can check them via the event comparision. i.e. WinMe, etc. what gets returned.

Doc in App doesn't illustarte them all, only a few.

If you are checking to see what operating system the end user is running, you may want to use the Detect OS variable.

The DetectOS variable returns the operating system that the viewer of the Demo is currently operating under. The values that are returned are as follows:

Operating System / Value Returned

Windows 2000 / Win2000

Windows NT4 / NT4

Windows NT 3.51 / NT

Windows 95 / Win95

Windows 98 / Win98

Windows Me / WinMe

The OS Major and OS Minor will simply return the numeric value of the operating system the user is running. For example, if the user is running on Windows 3.1. The OS Major would be 3 and the OS Minor would be 10. For Win NT, the OS Major would be 4 and the OS Minor would be 0. For Win 2000 the OS Major would be 5 and the OS Minor would be 0.

I hope this helps.

DemoShield 6.7x does not have a variable for Win XP because the software was release before XP was created. However, you can set up an Event for each of the other operating systems. If none of them match, you can assume the user is running WinXP.

I hope this helps.
