View Full Version : INLINE Demo vs. Launch Demo Action?

Hi,

I am faced with assembling a large, multi-section, menu-driven DS demo.

It appears there are two possible approaches.

ONE: all in-line, using GOTO SCENE extensively for control. This is how I've worked menu-driven demos in the past, but inserting new sections and scenes gets complex.

TWO: Subdividing into smaller selfcontained sections, using LAUNCH DEMO ACTION. One of the prompts for this is "Return to this demo Y/N". If I say YES, does it come back to the TOP of the demo (the first Scene) (my preferred behavior), or does it somehow return to the Scene which launched the second Demo??

Which is recommended for multi-level menu driven Demoshield Demos ???

thanks

Karl,

When you return to the main demo, it will go back to the Scene that you left off on.

This is what I would suggest if you want to go back to the beginning of your demo:

In the main demo, have a Launch Demo Action that has "return to this demo" set to no.

Then, in your secondary demo, on the exit button, have a Launch Demo Action that relaunches the main demo. You can specify the Initial Scene that you want, so you can tell it go to the beginning Scene.

I hope this helps.
