Placing shortcuts in [INSTALLDIR]

I'm trying to put a shortcut through the IDE (The Shortcuts/Folders View) into the INSTALLDIR.

According to documentation it is possible to select additional folders that shortcuts can be added to by right clicking the shortcut top item in list and selecting the folder of intrest.
This is working fine with all folders except the [INSTALLDIR] folder.

Is it a bug or are there any other conditions that need to be fulfilled before [INSTALLDIR] is displayed?

If you want to create your shortcut to INSTALLDIR then you can use script function AddFolderIcon. THis function would add folder as per your requirement.

Thanks for the reply, I'll use that function.
Still wondering though if it's a bug or not.
