Hello all,

I've been working on building from the command line after checking out the project from SourceSafe. Since you store a .isv file in SS, it appears that you need to use the COM interface to open the project in Dev 7 to convert it, then you can run the build ...

Is this Correct?

Convert a .isv file to a .ism file? Source safe will do that when you check it out..

Thanks, but I'm talking about the command line ... I found my answer after a little more digging in the docs as shown below ...

"Converting the .isv file to an .ism file is handled through InstallShield Developer's automation layer. Below are two examples of how you might use this functionality. Both examples use Microsoft's Visual SourceSafe as the source control program and are written using VBScript. ..."
