View Full Version : Silent Uninstall (IS 6.2)

I have to perform a silent uninstall of an old installation (IS 6.x project) from my setup (IS 7.02 project).
I have tried running (LaunchAppAndWait) the command-line stored in registry corresponding to the UNINSTALL_STRING with -s argument at the end. Here is the complete command-line.

RunDll32 C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\INSTAL~1\engine\6\INTEL3~1\Ctor.dll,LaunchiSetup -ether"C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{<GUID>}" -s

Result: maintenence mode start.
With -y and -a options I have the same result.

In this case probably I should specify that I want to run the REMOVEALL option. Is there a way to do this?

I have also tried to generate a setup.iss file as described in the kb article Q105066 but cmd-line setup.exe -r seems to produce no .iss files.

Any suggestion?

Thank you for the help

Sorry, with -s options maintenance mode does not start, a progress bar appear but nothing is uninstalled.
