Hello,

If you create a setup you have the file instmsia.exe and instmsiw.exe
Are these the files that are included when you select to include the installshield engines inthe release wizard?

If so, is there a way to include them in the setup.exe?

If no, can you delete them without any problem?

These exe's install Windows Installer on your system.
instmsia.exe is meant for Win95 and 98.
instmsiw.exe is meant for WinNT and up.

Setup.exe checks if you already have installed the proper version of Windows Installer. If not, it will launch the proper exe to install it.

If you select 'Compress all files' in the Release Wizard, you get one single setup.exe. I don't know for sure if it contains both exe's, but I hope so...

HTH,

Gert.
