View Full Version : Did the Uninstaller wipe out source files?

I have Delphi 1.

I did an uninstall of the application after the test...then a
reinstall...and now the build disk application is complaiing that I have
no c:\idapi\langdrv\db860opt.ld file...in fact according to explorter,
the only file in that directory is blrom800.ld.
a. were they ever there? or is it looking for something that shouldn't
be there? If so, why did earlier installs work ok?
b. were the files deleted? [I don't see them in the recycled folder].

Thanks, Randy Blackburn blackbr@ix.netcom.com

Hello Randy,

Uninstallation of IDAPI is provided only in 32bit ver. We followed Borlands
16bit standard, which is that IDAPI is deleted when an App is uninstalled.
Thus it would be better if the app is tested on another system, instead of
the same. As I mentioned, we are following Borland standard, thus nochange
would be possible. I would suggest that u do not use the uninstall
functionality here.
