View Full Version : Registry : keys not being deleted on uninstall

Windows NT 4.0 SP5
InstallShield 6.3

I have a legacy 5.1 install that has been converted to 6.3. All of the
registry code is in the OnMoved() function. I have added some Registry Sets
to the install. (I am doing my best not to touch this nightmare code).

It looks like the Registry Sets populate the registry before the OnMoved
function executes.

Will this cause a problem for the uninstall having the Registry Sets create
some of the same keys as in the OnMoved using RegDBCreateKeyEx?

The sub-keys are deleting but it is leaving the root keys which are created
by both the code and the Registry Sets.

I'm experiencing a similar problem right now with IS Pro 6.31. My subkeys are not being deleted upon uninstallation.

I have one registry set with a layer of folders. At the end, I have a registry string entry for 'Version'. It is set to delete at uninstall time. However when I uninstall, it still exists.
