Hi all,

I'm shocked. My task is to install Media Player. When run in quiet mode
("/q"), it takes its own decision and reboots. But, this true when one runs
it from a shortcut, from DOS box, or from my (C++ written) application. When
it runs from within InstallShield ("LaunchAppAndWait") it does not reboot
automatically, but rather returns control to InstallShield.
How does InstallShiedl do it?? Any tricks? any reboot-depressing calls?

Thanks for any leads,
Best,
Lior

The LaunchAppAndWait function is simply a wrapper for the CreateProcess Windows API.

We simply take the parameters you pass to LaunchAppAndWait and send that to CreateProcess and then try to wait for the launched process to end.

We don't do anything special to supress any reboots.
