Hi,
I am using InstallShield 6.2 professioal.
I want to install part of the files into one directory (giving the user the
ability to change the directory) and other files into another directory
(giving also the user the ability to change the directory).
I allready defined a new folder under "Script-defined Folders". I asked the
user for a new path.
I don't know to connect between the two !!
Can anybody tell me how and where do I connect betten them ? An example
could help !!
Thanks for any help,
Gabby

Hi Gabby,

to assign a value to a sript-defined-variable, you can use the following function :
where TARGETDIR is a script-defined-variable, and szDemoPath a variable (type STRING)
whith contains the path where to copy the files.
ComponentSetTarget( MEDIA , "<TARGETDIR>", szDemoPath );

Look in the help for more details about ComponentSetTarget()
