Hi everyone,

I have to add an image that needs to be registered in the users registry
upon package installation( a COM object). Does anyone can tell me how to do
it?

What I do for COM objects, since InstallShield cannot register them
automatically, is create a Component that contains the File Group with the
COM object.

Then select the Component from the Script toolbar. Select the Installed and
Uninstalling functions. A new file called ComponentEvents.rul will be
created with the two functions.

Register and unregister within those functions, e.g.

LaunchAppAndWait(TARGETDIR ^ "comobject.exe", "/REGSERVER", WAIT);

LaunchAppAndWait(TARGETDIR ^ "comobject.exe", "/UNREGSERVER", WAIT);

Hope this helps.
