View Full Version : is there any way to allow the user to cancel during file copy

I have seen the issue with the cancel button not working on the status
dialog..

I really need to give the user some kind of out during the file copy.
The largest option is over 500 mb - and not being able to cancel that is
not acceptable.

does anyone have an idea of what I can do to fix this?

thanks,

gina

So, after playing around with trying to figure out how to cancel during the
file copying.. I have discovered setup is not showing up in the taskbar once
the install actually starts...... it does show up during setup
initialization but once a dialog box shows up it disappears from the End
Task dialog...

InstallShield - why is this happening? when will it be fixed?

In my mind it is a must fix as the user is stuck.. especially if something
goes wrong during the setup the user has no way of getting out without
turning the machine off.

Please advise ASAP as I have a big install 500 mb install that the user will
need some control over.
