We are currently using Inoculate IT virus killer from Computer Associates. The virus signature file is updated daily, and we are currently on version 31.00 of the signature file. When a virus scan is performed on our installshield packages, the virus killer says that they contain the Win95/Shutdown trojan virus. Also the file under \installshield\program\pftw\stub32i.exe is reporting the same virus. Has anyone else come across this problem.

We have very recently been made aware of this and we are currently looking into it.

We have scanned this file with Symantec Norton AntiVirus with their latest virus definition files and we did not find this virus in that file.

We are currently looking into why the Inoculate IT software itself is reporting this.

I will be posting more information with respect to this as it becomes available.

We have been in contact with Computer Associates about their InoculateIT 6.0 software and this detection of a virus in this file.

We did not get any notification of a virus with the latest virus definitions that were available from earlier today.

We believe there was an issue with a false positive identification in that one virus definitions file.

Please download the latest virus definitions and let us know if the InoculateIT software still finds a virus in that file.

Hi,

The latest signature file has been downloaded. Everything is back to normal.

Many thanks for your help.
