Hi..
I want to launch a command (a SQL query with isql.exe) through my setup program. Is there any way to hide the DOS screen (at least minimize it)? Help pages say there are windows APIs.. what are those?
If I happened to give an incorrect password for isql utility through my setup program, it will launch the DOS window.. but the query fails.. is there a way to detect that?

Thanks.
Joe

Hi raj,
It is working..and possible to use it n times..Check the attached zip file.
First create a simple application using the wizard.
Then insert the two script files in the zip file. (setup.rul and the other one)
(You do not need to paste any functions or declarations from hideappandwait.rul into setup.rul)
Change the necessary variable values (#define values) in setup.rul script. For e.g. change the path to folder that contain CreateDB.sql, ..etc correctly

Run the application on a WinNT (or 2000)
