The only way I have found to create virtual directories is to use Windows Script Host (wscript.exe). You can write a wsh script in vb that will use the webadmin object to add new web sites, and virtual directories to IIS. Example wsh IIS admin files are located under your IIS install directory called mkwebdir.vbs. You can modify it or make your own.

Once you have it you can put it with your other setup files, and call wscript using LaunchAppandWait(), and pass the location of the vbs file as a parameter.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm starting using InstallShield. I'm using InstallShield for Microsoft Visual C++ 6.
When I try getting information about the LaunchAppAndWait function from the Help menus I get the following:
"This feature is unavailable in InstallShield for Microsoft Visual C++. "

Which version have I got to use in order to do what you say with virtual directories?

Thank you

Nicola
