View Full Version : renaming a registry key

There doesn't appear to be a function for renaming a registry key using the
Registry Functions.

Does anyone know why this is and if there's a way around it (rather than
creating a new key with the new name and then having to recreate all of it's
values which seems a bit long-winded...) ??

Cheers,
Neil.

InstallShield's Robert Dickau has written a script-based function,
RegDBCopyKey, that will let you do this. To get the script code for this
function, visit http://installsite.org/pages/en/isp_reg.htm#copykey.
