Hi folks!
Please, help!
I can't install NT/2k driver with installshield 6. I'm using the NT service
object, but it does nothing! The install only copies the driver in the
winnt/system32/drivers directory and doesn't register it.
How can I register the driver in installshield?????

All the best,
Al

Aleko,

When i need to register files i use the regsrver32.exe with the
installshield function LaunchAppWait()

i.e..
if ( LaunchAppAndWait("RegSvr32.exe", "/s mydll.dll", WAIT) < 0 ) then
MessageBox (_XML_REGISTER_ERROR1,MB_OK);
endif;

the /s indicates that its run in silentmode. For some reason in the past
when i use self register through IS some of my files i need to register
aren't registering so thats when i used the launchAppwait() this seems to
work.. Hope this helps:)

Rich,
When you install kernel mode driver, you can't use regsvr32.exe

Best,
