Hi all,

The BDE seems to be a hot issue right now...

In the BDE Administratior, under:
-Configuration
-System
-Formats
-Date

There is:

FOURDIGITYEAR False
LEADINGZEROD False
LEADINGZEROM False
MODE 0
SEPARATOR /
YEARBIASED True

This is also found in the Registry under:

Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\Borland\Database
Engine\Settings\System\Formats\Date

I need to be able to set the date settings.
1. Shouldn't the BDE settings be coppied from the machine building the
install?
2. Can ISX already handle this and I just don't know about it?
3. IF not, will it be possible after the new ISX maintenance release?
3a. Should I add this to the Wish list or Bug list?

For a quick fix... could this be hard-coded into the Registry during a
BDE install, and if so will the BDE settings overwrite the hard-coded
registry entry?

Thank you for a quick response.

P.S. I am learning IS5 and downloaded the white papers for a BDE
install. It doesn't mention how to do the above either.

No. Your customer would like to keep the settings HE set up and is used to.

You can set those using the BDE "Extra Parameters" box.

Wishlist.

Use an Express Extension.
