Hi Everybody:

I got a serious problem that I have to install data files in to predefined
directory which
when I do coding.(e.g. c:\mydata).

If the client install the application into their directory(e.g.
c:\client\data), the BDE error will be araised.

Could anybody help me? Thanks a lot!!

Hi,
You could keep the user from choosing a location by not checking the
'Choose Destination Location' checkbox when choosing 'Dialog Boxes'. Then,
specify c:\mydata as the Default Destination Directory.

If you want to display that dialog, then you should use <INSTALLDIR> when
you make your BDE settings. You could also hard code the destination of
your file group to c:\mydata.
