Trevor, are you running the Custom Version? If so, I can suggest the
following:

Option 1: You might write a custom extension that will add it. You can use
the DLL registration features of Express to write your own custom extension
that runs from DLLRegisterServer and DLLUnRegisterServer.

Option 2: You may althernatively upgrade your version of Express to Express
2.01. It has the Option in the Advanced Icons tab to add an icon into the
Startup. You may download a copy of Express 2.01 from
http://www.installshield.com/forms/ev_isx.htm.

Contact me if you still have problems.

I have an app that I need to start when Win95 boots up. How can I use
Installshield Express to add an icon to the Win95 Startup folder so that it
will start everytime.

Thanks in advance!

In "Specify Folders and Icons" go to the Advanced Settings tab and add an
icon. Then select which group you want it to appear in and click on Modify
icon. Hope this helps.

Hi,

If I understand this correctly, you want to have some application run
every time the system gets booted up. You can do this by adding a value in
the registry under the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

The name of the value is not important, as far as I know, but the data for
the value is a string that is the fully-qualified path to the file you want
to have executed when reboot occurs. As a result, you just need to use
Express to create this value.

I hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
