View Full Version : infinite loop error encountered in script

Installation doesn't work. I've used InstallShield Express 2 successfully
many times before. However, this is the first time that I've used it on NT
and with this particular app.

Full Error message:
Setup has encountered an infinite loop error in script. Correct the script
and try again.
Error 424

Occurs after clicking next in the Setup Type dialog box. I can also go to
the Custom dialog setup, where I tried various options including just
installing the simplest and smallest collection of files. This didn't work.

VB5 (SP2) created in Windows NT4 (SP3)

Installed to two different computers running Windows 95. Error occurred on
both.

The only odd thing I had encountered during the creation of the installation
was that InstallShield tried to include two files (PG32.DLL and
CO2C40EN.DLL) which I had to delete because they weren't on my system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This problem is caused when a group's destination directory is specified
using the [Group Name]\... construct and "Group Name" is not a valid
group. Check the destination directories of all the file groups to see if
there are any typos.
