View Full Version : NT 4.0 install only works for ADMIN

Installing a VB 4.0 app with IPX 1.1 on an NT 4.0 system results in a
"correct" installation, but the installed app can only be run by a user
with "ADMIN" rights. It seems as though the Registry entries created by the
installation can not be accessed without these rights. Same app install and
runs great on 95. Any ideas? Thanks!

This is a "Security Feature" ;-) of NT and their is no way around it,
unless you can write all information to the HKEY_Current_User key,
which is not usually an option. we all have to live with this until,
maybe, NT 5.0.
