While attempting to use the setup diskettes created for a Visual Basic
4.0 project using InstallShield Express V1.0, an error occurs during the
execution of the setup on a client machine. The error reads:

Unable to create a directory under c:\XXXXXXXX. Please check your
access rights to this directory. Where XXXXXXXX is the directory that
the setup program us attempting to transfer the files to. After
responding to the "OK", button a second error is generated:

General file transfer error. Please check your target location and try
again.

Error Number:-42

The Group that the setup program is failing on definitely has files to
transfer. I removed the group from the Setup script, recreated the
setup disks and tried the setup again. SAME RESULT, however, it failed
on another group. It appears that the setup is failing on the last
group in the install script.

I have run this same script in the past and had success, the only
difference this time is that the target (Client) machine is runnng Win
95 Version 4.00.950 and the Diskettes were created on a machine running
WIN 95 Version 4.00.950 B with Microsft Plus!

Any assistance would be helpfull!!!!

I believe this may be a path issue. Try installing to different location.
Also, make sure your Default Destination Directory is not a relative path.
It must be a complete path. By default the path will start with
<ProgramFilesDir>. Please try using this parameter in the path.
