Installing Oracle73 ODBC Data Sources

Hello,

I have just had my 1st attempt at using InstallShield to distribute an
application that uses Oracle73 ODBC drivers. I am sure I have given
Installshield all the relevant information for the installation routine.
After I install it on a clean PC i am unable to configure the data source
thru the Control Panel/32ODBC, it comes back with a message saying that it
was unable to load the setup routines, possibly due to a lack of memory.

Has anyone seen this problem before ?

any help would be appreciated.

This problem is typically caused when you fail to include all the
components and
the dependencies for a particular ODBC driver. Most ODBC drivers have a
separate
DLL for setup which is used when you try to add a data source from the
control
panel. A good way to find all files associated with a driver would be look
under
the following key in the registry if it exists:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\<DriverName>\FileList
