just downloaded the eval. version of Installshield 2 express. i find it
grest, but i don't understand why i can't have previews of the main screen
without building the disks... and even if i build them , why each time i
change the backgroud of the main window i must rebuild them ???

Another stupid question... what's a silent installation ???

Thanks.

Instant previews is something which you can expect to see
in later versions of express.

Silent installs are those which do not expect any user response
during an Install. The inputs are read from the SETUP.ISS file and
you can generate one which is customised to your requirements
by running SETUP.EXE with the -r switch. You'll find the generated
SETUP.ISS in the Windows directory.

Anothe important aspect of silent installs is that there is
no visual feedback during the install, you don't see anything
related to the install on your screen.
