I am having difficulty getting the remote data control to register when
installing a VB 4.0 32-bit application. I have selected the remote data
control in the general options portion of the wizard and the file
msrdc32.ocx is listed in the group/files dialog. However when I run the
application on the PC after installing it I receive an unable to load
(register) MSRDC32.OCX.

I have looked at the SWDEPEND.INI and changed a few things but am still
unable to get this to work properly. If anyone has any ideas they would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Well, after some digging I think that I have solved this problem. The
SWDEPEND.INI file distributed with InstallShield Express v1.1 is incorrect.
To solve this problem modify the following categories to be the as the
appear here:

[MSRDO32.DLL]
Src=<WINSYSDIR>
Register=$(DLLSelfRegister)
Uses1=OCX Runtime Support

[MSRDC32.OCX]
Src=<WINSYSDIR>
Register=$(DLLSelfRegister)
Uses1=OCX Runtime Support
Uses2=MSRDO32.DLL
