Hello,

I have once again some questions regarding VB 4 (16).

I am actually trying to build an installation script using
InstallShield3. (It is our standard!)

and I wonder what is realy necessary for the run time of VB.

I found out that the Install Wizard of VB 4 is writen in VB
and therefore some off the DLLs and OCXs mentionend in the
[BOOTSTRAP] part of the SETUP.LIS file is certainly only
used for the install wizard.

Does anyone know the minimum if I use :
Database access (ODBC and no ACCESS)
Grids
3D controls
pannels, checkboxes
common dialogs
printer, printer setup
and standard stuff
menues, labels, text, lists, combos, pictureboxes

I am particulaly bothered of the OLE stuff that wants to be
registered...

Thanx,
Claus

I think I got the list (SETUP.LST) using the Installation Wizard but I have
still no idea how to deal with the DLLSelfRegister, EXESelfRegister and the
...REG files..

Yes, I know that this is the ISE group but this is the only place people
talk about VB problems.

Thank you,
claus
