How do you password protect an installation? Express 2.13 allowed you to
set an installation password, but I cannot find the same functionality with
3.03.

Thanks in advance.

Go to Dialogs view and click on the Customer Information dialog. Set the
Serial Number Validation field to yes. See help on "Validating Serial
Number" for a detailed description of how to write a DLL for this and make
it work. Sample code for this is also supplied with Express.

I appreciate your response, but I'm not a C programmer and am having
difficulty figuring out the function declaration in Delphi.

Can you offer any assistance?

Thanks in advance!

I've finally "reverse engineered" the C code and it works, but I cannot
figure out how to take advantage of the option to allow a user to enter the
serial number multiple times in the event that the first one fails. Any
thoughts?

Thanks!

Change the value of the "Retry Limit" property.

I've done that, but it only gives me one shot at it, no matter what the
Retry Limit is set to. I am returning a zero from my DLL. Any thoughts are
sincerely appreciated!

Ah! After I posted the last message, I caught the problem. I need to
return a non-zero value for failure.

Thanks!!
