Hello everyone,

That is a good one...

I am trying to execute an action from my standard Project.

Yes the installation of the merge module files work, but not the action.

So what does that action (I tried in a standard project and it works) do. It
execute Clireg32.exe to setup my component that are installed in a MTS
server. So it execute CLIREG32.exe [with all the parameter] (there is a
condition that specifies to execute that action when "Not Installed") and
the action runs in the In-Script Execution - Deferred execution in System
Context.

Please I need HELP... I really don't understand why I should not be able to
make that work properly.... With the standard business Win Installer
software.

Thank you for your precious time.

Hi..

In a merge modules there is "duplicates" of many tables. These "duplicates"
are prefixed Module and are used when merging a merge module to a msi file.

In your case you should put your CA in either ModuleInstallExecuteSequence
or ModuleInstallUISequence (depends on where you want your action to
happend).

To find out more information about these table refer to the MSI Help Library
