View Full Version : Adding FileOpen action to registry

My apologies if this is a FAQ, but...

Using InstallShield Express 1.0 with Delphi 2.0, I am trying to add
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\usg_auto_file\shell\open\command

with value

<INSTALLDIR>\myprogramname.exe "%1"

so that users can double-click on a file icon and open my program. This
all works when I make the registry entries manually using regedit but
when InstallShield does it, it enters

C:\PROGRA~1\COMPAN~1\APPLIC~1\MYPROG~1%1"

all smooshed together like that. Is this a bug or am I doing something
wrong in the values?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Mike,

Actually this doesn't matter, since Windows95 actually can find the files.
InstallShield Express has that deficiency.
