View Full Version : Install creates file instead of directory

This is weird.
We are running InstallAnywhere 2013 -i silent on SunOS, from a script.
The script first deletes the install directory (we have a lot of test files that will otherwise not be deleted) then calls install to fill it back up.
The installer should create a /bin and /lib directory (magic folders) but -- sometimes -- it creates files instead of a directory.
At the time of failure, this is the only process running on the machine.
The default action of the installer is to uninstall then install again. Is it possible that the uninstaller - even though it has nothing to do - sometimes interferes with install?
