Hi friends,
I m building setup for All Users/Per User. and simultaneously putting registries in each users. But problems are:
1.Not every users registry is shown under HKEY_USERS( unless u do Load Hive)
2.Even u do Load Hive the registry is not showing under HKEY_USERS.

I m using InstallShield 2012 Spring Professional Edition.

Is there any other thing i m missing?

Regards,
-Nitin J.

I am reading your post and understand that you want to install files in profiles of ALL accounts that have ever logged onto the machine.

I do not build installers from scratch (generally), I modify msi or convert legacy to msi in a corp environment. I state this just for a frame of reference.

I have not seen a msi installer do this, it would probably be very complex to accomplish, requiring ninja scripts etc.

The proper methods of placing files/registry settings in the user space is by using Advertised Shortcuts(or other entry points) and Self-healing.

If you haven't yet, perhaps see this InstallTalk blog post on the subject: http://blogs.flexerasoftware.com/installtalk/2011/11/using-active-setup-to-repair-user-settings.html.
