IS Express is not setting the BDE DLLPATH in the registry. Under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland\Database Engine in the Registry set the
key DLLPATH to the path where the BDE was installed.

All groups? And the path is specified correctly in the Dialogs and
Extensions window.

Joshua,

These are both Win 95 non-networked machines.

Thanks,
John

Joshua,

I have exactly the same problem with end users working on Windows 2000.
Setup aborts because he is not allowed to write in the "Common Files"
directory (where InstallShield 6.2 writes some runtime like ikernel.exe i
think). Does InstallShield perform other actions reserved to administators
only (like writing in the registry) ?

The application i am installing is reading and writing keys in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER only. So i cannot install it with administrator rigths,
because when a simple user will try to use it, the keys will not be in his
CURRENT_USER !

Please help.
Is there a way to specify to InstallShield to install nothing except what it
is supposed to install ?

Bruno.
