View Full Version : "Use Path Variable Test Values" modifies build output path

Does anyone know why this happens?

I have an MSI based install called "TestProject" with two release types, called "WITH" and "WITHOUT". I have named the product configuration "Default Configuration".

The release type called "WITH" has "Use Path Variable Test Values" turned on, but "WITHOUT" does not.

"WITHOUT" builds to "<ISProjectFolder>\Default Configuration\WITHOUT".
"WITH" builds to "<ISProjectFolder>\TestProject\Default Configuration\WITH".

If have built this many times, and confirmed that if I turn off "Use Path Variable Test Values" then the WITH build no longer has "TestProject" in the build path.

This is quite annoying - how can I prevent the name of the project being included in the build output path while still having "Use Path Variable Test Values" turned on?
