Summary

How to remove FNP from a system if it has not been uninstalled when the flex enabled application has been uninstalled.

Discussion

If the flex enabled product is still installed, you should be able to remove all flex components when uninstall occurs. If the uninstall does not work, then you can remove the components manually:
If there is a flex service installed, you can remove it by using the installs utility. You can remove using the following parameters:

installs -r -n service_name

Please note - There may be some residual files located in the following directory that you may wish to remove:

Program Files\common files\<publisher name>\Flexnet publisher

To remove the registry entry for the license manager you would need to delete the key relating to flex:

On Windows XP this is located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\FLEXlm License Manager\service_name
On Windows Vista/7 this is located at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FLEXlm License Manager\service_name
