Hi All,

I have a question.
1. I have a product installed on a machine.
2. I have created a minor upgrade for the same product and installing the minor upgrade over the exisiting product.
3. intallation completes successful.
4. will i be able to uninstall just the minor upgrade? So that the original product remains as such even after the uninstallation of the minor upgrade.

I have done the same in Patch design view. But is this the same for minor upgrade? as of now I am not seeing the minor upgrade in add/remove programs. that means we cannot uninstall the minor upgrade once it is installed? do we always have to do a complete uninstallation?

please help.

A minor upgrade "replaces" the installed product and the updates cannot be uninstalled (just the entire product). Upgrades delivered via patches can be uninstalled (there is a prerequisite of Windows Installer 3 for patches to be uninstallable).
