While running two or more licence servers on the same subnet, both with identical daemons, all licences checked out will be from one specific daemon, even though clients are each specifying a different one. Stopping the daemon only shifted the problem to another. Is this just because they're on the same subnet, or could it be an issue with configuration or checkout parameters?

It seems that should work; perhaps clear out cached license locations using something like:

lmpath -override vendorname "."

It might just be that checkouts succeeded from the first server once, and the client applications are therefore looking there first.

Otherwise, how are you specifying the server locations?

Server locations are input by the user in one test case, but all others have individual server names hardcoded. The problem first became apparent when inputting the name of server ABC, and the test program ended up checking out from server XYZ. As soon as the daemon on XYZ was stopped, the test program began checking out from ABC like it was supposed to, without an error code being returned. I assumed it was to do with server redundancy but in each case only one server is specified.

How are you specifying the individual server paths?
